In this capsule, we will explore the life and work of Paul Gauguin, a French Painter associated with Post-Impressionism and Symbolism. Through a brief timeline of his life, we’ll discover his evolution as a painter; his use of color Cloisonnism; and how ultimately his paintings, influenced by the art from Africa, Asia, and French Polynesia , as well by his many travels, reflect how the ordinary can become extraordinary.
